Welcome to Lebenshilfe Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge e.V.
Since 1990, Lebenshilfe Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge e.V. has been pursueing the interests of people with mental or multiple disabilities, and people with chronic mental disorders, as well as their parents, other family members and carers.
Our aim is to enable people with disabilities to equally participate in society. They, too, have the right to lead an independent, self-determined life. And that’s what we work for.
Our association runs more than 25 facilities in the Eastern part of Saxony, the so-called Saxon Switzerland-East Ore Mountains district, providing care for over 1,250 people of all ages, with and without disabilities. Lebenshilfe Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge e.V. currently employs some 330 staff.
We operate in five main areas, in keeping with our motto:

CHILDREN & EDUCATION
We look after children aged 12 and under at integrative day-care centres in Pirna and Dippoldiswalde, and at a special-needs after-school centre in Pirna. We also run an integrative youth center in Rathen, which provides temporary accommodation for children and youths aged 14 and over.

OUTPATIENT SERVICES
A wide range of support options are available to people with disabilities, as well as their families, at our outpatient services in Pirna, Freital and Neustadt. These include respite care services, remedial holiday care, integration assistance at schools, and support with child-raising and household chores. The ‘Ambulant betreutes Wohnen flex’ assisted-living service helps people with disabilities take the step towards moving into their own home.

The sheltered workshop "Hohwald-Werkstätten" in Neustadt/Sa. offer a wide range of jobs for people with disabilities. We support every single one of the 210 employees in their professional development to enable them to participate in society and make the leap to the ‘general’ labour market.
